To realise the potential of our solutions we needed to overcome the major drawbacks of traditional network solutions: steep pricing, high energy consumption and the complexity of deployment and maintenance.

We sought a solution that answered our specific requirements:

• Low power / energy consumption as devices are battery powered and we require long field life

• Long range to minimise network site deployments

• Ease of use, both with the assets and with the back office system integration

• Great value for money (opex & capex)

• Secure and reliable to avoid vulnerability and interruptions

Selecting a LPWAN (low power wide area network) technology was the obvious network choice. Sigfox is the most mature LPWAN in New Zealand and the first global cellular network fully dedicated to the Internet of Things. Sigfox has built a global network to connect billions of devices to the internet, while consuming as little energy as possible, as simply as possible.

The Sigfox network currently covers ~35% of New Zealand's land area, reaching ~95% of the population. Should you find your area is not currently within coverage please contact us to discuss a range of options we have available.

Sigfox offers a truly unique approach to device-to-cloud communications.

Please contact us if you're unsure             of coverage at your site(s).

SIGFOX'S Key Pillars

Infill (localised) Coverage Solutions

Should your site be outside the current national network footprint offered by Sigfox fear not. We have available a range of localised network coverage options from mains powered to solar powered to wind powered micro repeaters. Essentially a 'plug and play' kit that easily supports >1,000 eTrap sensor devices over a tested 5km radius.
